At the beginning of August we went back to L.A. to attend a family wedding. Since it was going to be so close to my birthday, they also planned a party for me.

On the flight going to L.A., I was restless and they had to pass me around. I even tried to eat the plane seat. Lucky for them, I slept through the latter part of the flight.

We got there at night, Grandpa picked us up and took us straight to Lola Ba’s birthday party. There were so many people, I got scared. Daddy had to hold me.

Friday we left for a nearby town in preparation for the wedding. There was a rehearsal, then lunch, then I spent some time with Daddy and Grandma while Mommy was getting ready for the event. Daddy found a bubble tea place nearby so they took me out for a stroll. For dinner we went to a Japanese place but I wouldn’t stay still so they had to take turns holding me again.

Saturday morning I spent some time with the Filipino side of the family - Daddy and Grandma went to check out a Romanian store in the area. After lunch, they got me dressed up and we headed out to the wedding. I was quiet during the ceremony, to everyone’s surprise.

Afterward, we went to the reception place, where they fed and changed me, then left me with the other children in the kids room. There were so many toys I was busy for hours! Didn’t cry, didn’t complain, nothing. Late in the evening I even napped for a bit. After that they picked me up and we came back home.

Sunday was my big day! We went to a Filipino restaurant where they had prepared the birthday party. I took pictures with everybody, and was enchanted by balloons. In the evening we went to the grandparents’ place where I napped.

On Monday we went to L.A. to meet with uncle Bogdi, auntie Renee and the girls. We stopped by Santa Monica Pier on the way and saw the ocean again (this time it was hot and sunny). We met the gang for lunch and dessert.

In the evening, back at the hotel, we went out to the pool. I had my first swim, with Mommy!

Tuesday we took a day trip to San Diego. We stopped on the way in Carlsbad for pictures and then went to Sea World. I saw dolphins, penguins, whales and a whole bunch of fish. We even saw some shows but I was unimpressed. Afterwards Daddy took us on a trip around the city center and then we headed back. We spent an hour in traffic because of some accidents, so we got home really late.

Wednesday we came back home. Grandpa came to pick us up and take us to the airport, along with Grandma and Lola Tita Sister. We got there on time, but our flight got delayed - twice - and we left very late. I was up most of the flight again. We got home late.
