We went to KC the evening before the flight since the weather forecast was pretty bad. I was fussy that night, kept waking up everybody. Nobody got much sleep.

Our flight was crappy - they changed the plane on us and instead of the extra leg room (required for my car seat) we got nada. So the car seat did not fit, we had to check it and I had to be held the whole flight. When we got to LGA we got dumped at a back exit and had to make our way up the terminal. Oh, and also they lost some parts of the car seat and Mommy had to go back and look for them.

We rested a little after checking in at the hotel and then uncle Dan came and picked us up. We were supposed to go to dinner someplace, but he had made other plans so we had to scrap that. Went to see our family friends - and their two little girls, Skylar and Alina. I was stern and serious the entire evening, as I always am when in public. The girls sang, danced and twirled like crazy.

Back at the hotel they tried to bathe me in an inflatable tub, but I got scared at how much water was in there - way more than in my usual tub at home - so I started screaming. Long story short, they didn’t bathe me that night (got a light sponge bath instead).

The first night we all slept well, but got up pretty early, even the adults. Jet lag, I guess.

Hello NYC!
Hello NYC!

For my first stroll through NYC we went through Central Park, then walked down Fifth Avenue, and had lunch at Grand Central. I napped for a bit while they were shopping at some point. Took us a while to get home because the subway was acting up.

On Friday we went out again, first for lunch at a fancy Japanese place, then took a stroll through Chinatown. In the evening Mommy and Daddy went to see a Broadway show (Mommy’s favorite thing!).

Saturday morning we had brunch with Mommy’s friends around our hotel. Afterwards they went to see another Broadway show while I hung out with Grandma. Daddy came back early evening to spend time with us and we went out for a bit around the hotel.

Sunday we met the Romanian gang for some yummy (or so I heard) Mexican food. After eating we took a stroll through Astoria - Daddy and Mommy’s neighborhood before they moved to Kansas.

Monday we went out for a stroll in Manhattan again. The subway was busted to we had to rely on cabs to get in. Daddy wanted to stop by his work for a bit, but didn’t get any time to do so. We had lunch at a Neapolitan pizza place - one of Mommy and Daddy’s favorite - then went shopping at Eataly.

Tuesday morning we checked out, took a cab to LGA and flew back to Kansas.
